The Commander's Mansion, also known as Quarters 111, was constructed in 1865 by Major Thomas J. Rodman, the commanding officer of the Watertown Arsenal. The Mansion is still a highlight of the Watertown Arsenal site and remains virtually unaltered after more than 100 years of occupancy by a long line of commanding officers. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 30, 1976.
